If you have never heard of ConFoo, it is one of the most important developer-oriented conferences. The team brings you speakers from around the globe to share their hands-on experience with various web technologies. The best news is: it's driven by the community and is non for profit!

The call for papers opens on August 27 and is important even if you are not a speaker. You can vote on all the proposals as they come in, telling the team exactly what you wish to learn.

The ConFoo conference has officially announced the opening of Early Bird registrations for their 2012 event (happening in Montreal February 29th through March 2nd).

When? February 29 - March 02, 2012. Where? Hilton Bonaventure Hotel, Montreal downtown. How much? $600 (instead of $800). This rate is valid if you order before January 13, 2012.

You can order your ticket today in a variety of flavors - just a conference pass or conference plus a tutorial - either Advanced PHP, Security (both in French and English versions), Symfony2 or HTML5. The organizers for this year's Confoo conference have officially opened the Call for Papers for next year's (2011) event (happening March 9th through the 11th in Montreal).

ConFoo is launching its call for speakers for the 2011 conference. With more than 500 attendees, ConFoo is one of the largest Web development conferences in North America. We are looking for the best speakers, willing to share their experiences and their skills with programmers and managers (marketing and decision makers). The 2011 event will feature many novelties in its organization and presentations.

The conference covers a wide range of technologies and related subjects including Java, Python, PHP, system administration, accessibility, CMSs and frameworks, project management and more. Speakers are allowed to present in either French or English and some expenses will be covered for things like lodging and travel. Francois Zaninotto has posted about two upcoming instances where the Symfony Framework's presence can be seen - a conference about it in Paris and at the PHP Quebec Conference.

Two upcoming events may be of great interest for symfony fans. The French PHP User association (AFUP) organizes a conference about symfony 1.0 in Paris. [...] Also, the PHP Quebec Conference features two sessions about symfony, one in English and one in French.

The Paris confernece is happening on March 6th and the PHP Quebec Conference March 14th through the 16th in Montreal.

According to a new post on the main PHP site, the group putting on this year's PHP Quebec Conference (well, for 2007) has officially announced a call for papers.

We are currently looking for experts willing to share their knowledge and experience with IT professionals. This year the conference will includes three tracks: Advanced Techniques, Data Availability, and PHP Beyond Theory.

From Chris Shiflett today, there's a new post mentioning the talk he'll be giving at the upcoming PHP Quebec conference.

Next week, I'll be speaking at PHP Quebec in Montreal about testing PHP applications. Agile PHP Testing is a new talk that focuses on really simple approaches to testing, and I hope to demonstrate how creating a test suite is close to what you're probably already doing anyway.

The talk will cover agile PHP testing and will be a "no nonsense" look, with less theory talk and more actual hands-on time with the code.
